When
people ask me where I’m from I often ask them to sit down because it’s a little
complicated. I have both Dutch and South African roots but have lived in Africa
almost all my life. Because I’ve lived in Africa so long I have experienced
firsthand the struggles many people have simply to survive. I go to an
international boarding school and have learned about many different cultures
around the world. I’ve been to Europe quite a number of times and experienced
how different the western and developing nations’ cultures are. Most
importantly I’m a follower of Jesus Christ and hope to make a difference one
day in whichever part of the kingdom He calls me to build.
